FRANKLIN—Khary Deshun Smith, 20, of the 400 block of Pine Street, Franklin, has been arrested in connection with several burglaries in the city, said Captain Tim Whitt, spokesperson for the Franklin Police Department.

Smith was taken into custody without incident at the probation and parole office at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday. He was served with warrants for five counts of burglary and four counts of destruction of property. Smith was remanded to Western Tidewater Regional Jail without bond.
