FRANKLIN—The joint meeting between the Franklin City Public School District and the City of Franklin City Council will be at the Workforce Development Center Technology Theater Room 202 on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m.

The meeting will first discuss the use of borrowed funds and capital projects from earlier this year. But mainly, said City Manager Randy Martin, the meeting will be about the status of the schools, the performance review, the recent interactions with the state and what the plan of action will be going forward for school leaders.

“It will help us understand where the schools are,” Mayor Raystine Johnson-Ashburn said in a previous report.

The council will also bring forth some of the concerns highlighted by citizens at the city’s forum on the schools, which was Monday, Oct. 21.
