To the Editor:

I would like to thank all who attended our 42nd annual Steak Feast at Drapers Pond Sept. 4 this year. Showing your support by attending, the sale of brooms at the event and the 50/50 raffle made it the most profitable Steak Feast that the Boykins Lions Club has ever had. The event was a complete sell-out. We cannot thank you enough.

I also would like to thank the companies and citizens that sponsored us for this event along with the generous donation to the club by Wayne Allen Cooke, who DJ’d our event.

The profits from the Steak Feast and broom sales make it possible to provide assistance to children and adults in our town and community in need of eyeglasses and hearing aids along with help in supporting the local food bank, the Eye Bank, Boy Scouts of America and Leader Dogs for the Blind. Your continued support of brooms sales throughout the year is appreciated.

Last but not least, I want to thank our members for their time, effort and teamwork in making this event successful. Without your support it would not happen.
