ISLE OF WIGHT—The Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office is providing a revised description of the vehicle reportedly used in last Wednesday’s abduction of an 11-year-old Carrollton girl. She has said the suspect took her to two different places and sexually assaulted her.

There is no windshield banner or sticker displaying the word “Chevy,” but what she saw was the word handwritten on the Va. inspection sticker. Further, the vehicle is now said to be a two-door 1995-2001 Chevrolet Cavalier, light grey or silver in color.

There have been no changes to the victim’s description of the suspect. He is said to be a white male, possibly in his 40s to 50s, with freckles covering his face and body. He has a medium build of about 5’8” and weighs 175 pounds. He has short blond hair and a thin blond beard strip from his temples down across the chin, but no moustache. His eyebrows are blond and bushy.

He has blue eyes, and sometimes wears round brown eyeglasses. He has a wide nose and large, full lips. His teeth are slightly yellowed.

The man was described wearing cut-off blue jeans, a tan T-shirt, and brown and blue tennis shoes.

He’s said to be slower in his speech.

The IOWSO added that one location has been identified. The second scene has not been located, but can be described as an old abandoned two-story, wood-framed house. It has no shingles on the roof and it is partially collapsing. An old sofa can be seen through a collapsed wall. The home is located approximately 200 yards off the paved road, but can be seen from the paved road. There are discarded HVAC units in the yard.

Across the road from the abandoned house are newer homes. The closest is a well-kept two-story house, white with red shutters and a gray roof. There is a new wooden fence around the back yard but no fencing in front yard.

The investigators added they know the crime scene, which began in Carrollton, went south through Windsor, Suffolk and into Gates County, N.C.
