Franklin man stabbed on South Street

FRANKLIN—A Franklin man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital following a stabbing Friday evening, said Captain Timothy Whitt, spokesman for the Franklin Police Department.
Gregory Artis, 49, of Franklin, suffered a laceration to his chest and neck. He was found near the 1400 block of South Street. No one else was around, Whitt said.
The victim did not talk to the police, he said.
Artis’s condition is not known at this time, said Whitt.
