FRANKLIN—A Franklin man who went missing Wednesday morning has been found, according to the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office.

Gavin Ferianicek, 19, was located around 1:15 p.m. today by a family member and he is unharmed and back at his home.

He went missing from his residence near Franklin about 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, and appeared to have left home suddenly, said Maj. Gene Drewery, spokesman.

Feriancek had been reported as being depressed and one of his last known contacts before he was found was with a doctor’s office by phone around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Deputies were searching the area around the residence on O’berry Church Road that night and today before a family member reported him back home.
