Worker reports shot fired at him

FRANKLIN—A Charter Communications employee reported to Franklin police he was shot at early Wednesday morning while repairing communication lines on Delk Street at Mariner Street, said Capt. Tim Whitt, police spokesman.

The unnamed worker said he was in the bucket of his truck when he observed a muzzle flash, heard the shot then heard a bullet pass by him. The man was unable to provide a description of any suspect(s). But he did tell officers that before hearing the shot, he saw two cars speeding down Delk Street, one blue and one grey.
