She graduated from Franklin High School, Class of 1940, attended Mary Washington College, and retired from Union Camp Corporation in 1984 as Personnel Supervisor, with 23 years of service.

The family wishes to thank the Doctors and staff of Southampton Memorial Hospital and East Pavilion for their care of Mom through these last few years, and her many friends for all their cards and visits. Even through the debilitations of Alzheimer’s, she remained contented. A kinder, sweeter woman and devoted mother and grandmother could not be found.

Graveside services will be held at Poplar Spring Cemetery in Franklin at 2 PM on Sunday, September 8, 2013, with the Rev. James Hyatt officiating.
