Person who revealed NSA not a traitor

To the Editor:
Once upon a time is a known way of starting children’s stories that we are all familiar with, and when hearing this phrase we prepare ourselves for a tale of make-believe. Today it also seems that these choice words should precede the reading our Constitution. Daily headlines blare stories where the Constitution has been flipped upside down and we are led to believe by our governing powers that this was the true intention.
Take for example the NSA issue where a person who reported that our own government was trampling the fourth amendment was labeled a traitor. A traitor? The only crime here lies at the hand of our government violating our rights and then washing it over as it was being done in our best interest.
Yes, I’m sure every dictator in history also made their decisions in the best interest of their people.
Our Constitution is a rock of guiding light in governing, and we must ensure those we elect follow it. The person who advised us of our wandering government is not a traitor.
