COURTLAND—Farmers, gardeners and horticulturists wanting to submit entries for this year’s Field Crops, Horticulture, Flowers and Plants exhibition at the county fair are reminded the time to do so is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13. Bring the entries to the fairgrounds outside Courtland at 25376 New Market Road.

Entry categories are found in the premium book, which is available at Janet’s Touch of Style and the Southampton County Extension Office, 21300 Plank Road, Courtland. The book can also be viewed online at Southampton County Cooperative Extension website at http://offices.ext.vt.edu/southampton/ under the “What’s New” tab.

The pre-registration form can be found in the premium book and at the Virginia Cooperative Extension Office, 21300 Plank Road, Courtland.

Pre-registration is encouraged to expedite the entry process. Anyone wanting to pre-register can send forms to VCE-Southampton, P.O. Box 10, Courtland, Va., 23837, or fax to 653-2849 with attention to Chris Drake. Please postmark by Wednesday, Aug. 7, if you are going to mail the form.
