Boykins- Clarine Duke Knight, 97, widow of RC Knight passed away July 20, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Knight was born in Valentines, VA and was reared in Jackson NC and was a daughter of the late Brode and Nina Wynn Duke. She was predeceased by four sisters, Adelaide, Grace, Naomi and Paige. She attended Boykins United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Appalachian State Teacher’s College in Boone, NC. She retired as an elementary school teacher with over 30 years of service in North Carolina, Newsoms, Drewryville and Hunterdale. She is survived by her son, Tommy Knight of Boykins; brother, B.T. Duke of Charlotte, NC.

A graveside funeral will be held at 11AM, Monday, July 22, 2013 at Beechwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Michael Baugham officiating. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home Boykins from 6 to 7:30PM Sunday (today) and suggest that memorial donations be made to Boykins Volunteer Fire and Rescue or Boykins United Methodist Church. www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
