Fannie Dundlow Hirsch

Franklin- Fannie Dundlow Hirsch, 75, passed away July 4, 2013 at Sentara Obici Hospital. Fannie was a native of Creswell, N.C., and a daughter of the late James Kie and Frances Hassell Edwards. She was predeceased by her first husband, Cadd Ellis Dundlow. She was retired from the technical department of Union Camp Corporation with more than 34 years of service and a member, elder and former treasurer for Kingdom Life Ministries. Fannie was dedicated to her family, church family and community. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Food Bank.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Harvey A. Hirsch, Jr.; one son, Glen Ellis “Butch” Dundlow and wife Jaci of Franklin, Va.; three daughters, Cynthia Dundlow Kantor and husband, Alan Jay of Clarksville, Md., Nancy H. Brown of Manteo, N.C., and Linda H. Drake and husband Neal of Newsoms, Va.; one sister, Shirley E. Dillon and husband Jerry of Suffolk, Va.; one brother, James T. Edwards of Eure, N.C.; nine grandchildren, Samuel Graham Kantor, Haley Catherine Kantor, Glenda Nicole Coffelt, Joshua Andrew Dundlow, Brittany Marie Chavis, Grayson Jayne Drake, Emma Christine Drake, Emily Evelyn Brown and William Michael Brown and eight great grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Wooden and the Rev. Matt Kidd officiating. The burial will follow at Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and suggest that memorial donations be made in memory of Fannie to Kingdom Life Ministries Youth Center, 26151 Delaware Rd., Franklin, Va. 23851. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
