COURTLAND—Plans to celebrate the opening of a new Hardee’s restaurant in Courtland next weekend will feature free breakfast and Thickburgers for a year.

The Hardee’s at 18384 Southampton Parkway in the Courtland Commercial Center opened Monday. On Saturday, June 15, in promotion with radio station WGH-FM 97.3, the first 97 people through the door will get a free breakfast and coupons for a free Thickburger for a year (one Thickburger a week).

The new Hardee’s will employ 65 people, according to Hardee’s franchise operator Boddie-Noell Enterprises, which already owns and operates some 180 Hardee’s locations throughout Virginia.

In addition to a menu that is built around the Made-From-Scratch biscuit, Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders and charbroiled Angus Beef Thickburgers, the new Hardee’s location will also feature fried chicken.

Seating up to 70 guests, the restaurant features the new “retro” Hardee’s restaurant design and includes a flatscreen TV. The restaurant also features drive-thru service.

“We’re really looking forward to bringing this new Hardee’s location to customers in Courtland and the Southampton County community,” said Mike Boddie, president of Boddie-Noell’s Restaurant Division. “As a family-owned company, we look forward to being involved in the community and to support the growth of the area.”

Operating hours for the new Hardee’s will be from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays.

This newest location will be the 335th Hardee’s operated by Boddie-Noell, which has been a Hardee’s franchise operator for more than 50 years.
