IVOR—Bids are being taken for the purchase of property where an old school once stood in Ivor.

Southampton County Administrator Mike Johnson said he’ll open all bids at 10 a.m., Friday, June 14. The property’s assessed at $64,200, he added.

Johnson said he’s hoping that the more interest is generated, the more bids will be made. After opening, the bids would go to the county supervisors for review on Monday, June 24.

If these are rejected, then the procedure begins anew, Johnson said.
