John Andrew Winn, 88, a resident of Zuni, Va., for 36 years, died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Winn was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

Survivors include sons John, Jr. (wife Leslie) of Chesapeake and Kimball of Falls Church; daughter, Jennifer Winn Griffin (Wayne) of Zuni; and sisters, Bertie Campbell and her husband Fred of Chesapeake, and Marguerite Corley of Houston, Texas.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, 37527 Seacock Chapel Road, Zuni, with the Rev. Curt Faison officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.
