Phyllis W. Williams

FRANKLIN—Mrs. Phyllis W. Williams of Mariner Street, Franklin, Va., departed this life on April 25, 2013 in her home. On July 25, 1929, she was born in Lewiston, N.C. to the late Jedd and Luvenia Wilkins. At an early age, Phyllis joined Weeping Mary Baptist Church and was educated in the Bertie County Public School System. Upon moving to Franklin she became a member of Agape Worship Center where she served on the Mother’s Board.

She is survived by two daughters; Mattie L. Wyche and Sandra Williams; sons, William Grant Wyche, James Edward Wyche, Larry Williams, Sr., and Christopher M. Williams, Jr.; sister, Mother Helen Hanshaw; step-sister, Elsie Wilkins; twelve grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grands, and many other relatives.

A homegoing service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2012 at Weeping Mary Baptist Church, 152 Weeping Mary Road, Lewiston Woodville, NC, with the pastor, Reverend Johnnie Cofield delivering the message of comfort.
