IVOR—Anthony Jackson, 54 of 8013 Proctor Bridge Road, Ivor, Va., died Monday, April 22, 2013 at his residence. He was a native of Suffolk, Va., and the son of the late Willie H. Jackson Sr. and Virginia Elizabeth Jackson.

He was formerly employed with Smithfield Packing Company. He was a member of New Branch Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, Carolyn Jackson of Ivor, Va., and Gwendolyn Artis (Henry) of Wakefield; two brothers, Leon Jackson (Margaret) and Darryl Jackson (Trina), both of Ivor; aunt, Loretta Silver; uncles, Junius Carroll (Leathia) of Windsor, Va., and Chester Edwards (Ann) of Portsmouth; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at New Branch Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Frank Aikens, Sr. Interment will be in Gilfield Baptist Church Cemetery.
