FRANKLIN—William O. “Sparky” Cartwright, 56, passed away suddenly April 17, 2013. “Sparky” was born in Elizabeth City, N.C., was a member of Belvidere-Ryland Church of Christ in Tyner, N.C. and a retired mechanic of Ashland/Hercules. He attended the University of Arkansas and was a proud member (drummer) of the Razorback Marching Band.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Jean Galtress Cartwright; his parents, Oliver J. and Doris Baker Cartwright; a daughter, Winter Suzanne Bobko of Franklin; two sons, William Richard Daughtry and his wife, Barbara, of Windsor and William Christopher Cartwright of Franklin; three sisters, Charlotte C. Patterson and her husband, Paul, Joann C. James and her husband, Danny, and Allie L Cartwright all of Elizabeth City, N.C.; a brother, Christopher Wayne Cartwright and his wife, Gina of Virginia Beach and six grandchildren, Carissa Bobko, Leah Bobko, Kamryn Bobko, Samantha Bobko, Logan Daughtry, and Summer Daughtry.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 20, at Wright Funeral Home with the Pastor Homer Styons and Pastor Colclasure officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home is assisting the family. www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
