SEDLEY—Charles O. “Charlie” Keeter, Jr., 81, passed away April 16, 2013 at his residence.    Charlie was born in Franklin, a son of the late Charles O. Keeter, Sr. and Irene Holland Keeter.  He was predeceased by his wife, Mertie “Billie” W. Keeter and a sister, Myrtle Goodman.  Charlie was a member of Sedley Baptist Church, an honorary member of the Delaware Hunt Club and he was a retired supervisor in the Woodlands Department of Union Camp after 30 years of service.  He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Van Horn and husband Eddie of Ohio; four sons, Rae Keeter and wife Betty, Keith Keeter, Dean Keeter and wife Pat all of Franklin, and Earl Faison and wife Judy of Colonial Heights; a sister, Cynthia Garris and husband Wesley of Windsor; a brother, Carroll Keeter and friend Carol of Newsoms; nine grandchildren, Donna Mounce, Rene Cassort, Jay Faison, Cheryl Snell, Kristie Holt, Brandon Keeter, Christina Marchese, Charlie D. Keeter, and Chad Keeter; and six great-grandchildren, Brittany Snell, Justin Snell, Kaitlin Cassort, Austin Hague, Charles D. Keeter, and Fenton Holt.

A funeral service will be held at 11a.m., Friday, April 19, 2013 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Jim Foreman officiating. The burial will follow at Southampton Memorial Park.  A visitation will be held on Thursday evening at Wright Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m..  Memorial donations may be made to the Sedley Baptist Church or the Sedley Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad.  www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
