Glenn Strickland

TYNER—Bobby Glenn Strickland, 46, a former resident of Windsor, Va., passed away April 6, 2013. He was born in Franklin, Va., and was a graduate of Windsor High School. Glenn was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a retired civil service electrician for 20 years for the U.S. Coast Guard. He was presently in his last term at the College of the Albemarle and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He was predeceased by his father, Garland Eugene “Gene” Strickland.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Anissa Katherine Strickland; one daughter, Katelyn Marie Strickland of Camden; one son, Bobby Joel Strickland of the home; his mother, Sue Garner Strickland of Windsor, Va.; and two sisters, Donna Strickland and Susan Annette Strickland.

A funeral with military honors will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 13, at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, Va. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
