FRANKLIN—Bernard Gene Gray, 75, passed away April 9, 2013. He was born in Boykins, a son of the late William Richard and Virginia Crowder Gray, and was predeceased by a brother, Calvin Gray. Gene was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include his wife, Cassie D. Gray; a daughter, Kim G. Creef of Manteo, N.C.; a son, Randy Gray of Franklin; two sisters, Dorothy G. Datto and husband, Phillip, of Madison Township, Pa. and Kathy G. Vann and husband, Bobby, of Boykins; one brother, William R. “Billy” Gray and wife, Betty, of Boykins, and a granddaughter, Elyssa Creef.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Wright Funeral Home with Mr. James P. Councill, III officiating. Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
