SUFFOLK—Mattie Virginia Faulk of 4677 Deerpath Road, Suffolk, Va., died Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Como, N.C. and the daughter of the late Danny Sykes and Virgie Virginia Sykes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lee Faulk.

She was retired from Louise Obici Hospital. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Meredith Faulk of Harrisburg, Pa. and Darlene Faulk of Portsmouth, Va.; three sons, Joseph Faulk, Earl McKinney Faulk, both of Suffolk, and Dexter Faulk of Hampton, Va.; one sister, Mamie Jenkins of Suffolk; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Piney Grove Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Larry Parker. Interment will be in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
