Franklin man wanted for armed burglary

FRANKLIN—The Franklin Police Department and the Southampton County Sheriff’s Department are asking for the public’s help to locate a 29-year-old Franklin man wanted in connection with an armed burglary.
De’Andre Rayfel Artis is suspected of a home invasion while armed with a shotgun on Dewey Street in March. Artis is also believed to be responsible for the burglary to a house on Pine Street in September.
Police have issued warrants for Artis for burglary, larceny, assault and battery and use of a firearm in commitment of a felony.
Artis is to be considered armed and dangerous, according to police.
