FRANKLIN—Franklin High School saw five different players score goals during the Broncos’ season opening 5-2 non-district win over Greensville Thursday.

Scoring one goal each for the Broncos were Xavier Freeman, Darryl West, Devon Stewart, Bryce Shelly and Angel Padilla. Kyle Smith had three assists and goalie Nathan Jones had seven stops, including one penalty kick.

“It was an awesome game,” said Franklin Coach Clay Hyatt. “The team gelled together pretty well for the first game.”

Franklin will host Southampton High School at Armory Field at 5:30 p.m. today, March 22.
