SEBRELL – A 17-year-old Sebrell resident was shot by an unrelated juvenile, according to Southampton County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Major Gene Drewery.

Based on information originally provided by law enforcement, it was previously reported in The Tidewater News that a family member had committed the shooting. The shooting, which took place Monday near Old Hickory Road, is being investigated as an accident. No charges are pending and the condition of the victim has not been released.
