IVOR—No one was injured in a Tuesday fire that destroyed a home at 33423 Seacock Chapel Road.

Ivor Fire Chief Carl Garner said no one was home when the fire broke out at 1:30 p.m. When firefighters arrived, the house was “full of flames,” Garner said.

Fire investigator Major Gene Drewery with the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office said the cause of the fire remains undetermined; therefore, he could not say whether it appeared accidental or suspicious.

The damage was so extensive that Drewery could not immediately determine where in the house the fire started.

Howard Jenkins owns the home, which was insured, Drewery said.

There were two dogs in the yard that had minor burns.

Volunteer fire departments from Windsor, Wakefield, Sedley, Hunterdale and Courtland assisted.
