Sander Melvyn Lippe

FRANKLIN—Sander (Sandy) Melvyn Lippe, 75, formerly of New Jersey, passed peacefully away February 20, 2013.
He was born May 7, 1937, to the late Kitty and Albert Bernard Lippe and was a 1955 graduate of Union High School, Union, N.J.
Sandy served his country in the United States Air Force in Japan and Germany.
He returned to civilian life, devoting 40-plus years in the family business, The Paper Mart, Inc. located in New Jersey until he retired to Virginia.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years Emily Channell Garrett Lippe; his daughters, Monica Ann Lippe and Helene Karin Lippe; grandsons, Matthew Edward Weslosky, Christopher Dylan Weslosky and Alec Sergei Lippe; brothers, Gary Leonard Lippe and wife, Judy, and Harmon Ira Lippe and wife, Kelly; plus many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He will be sorely missed by family and friends. Sandy was a quiet man with a sharp, quick wit. He enjoyed playing cards, watching and answering Jeopardy questions, loved gardening, cooking and adored his Yankees.
He will be especially missed by his special buddy, his dog Rusty who could always be found on his lap looking at him with adoration.
A visitation will be held at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, on Saturday, February 23, 2013, from 2 to 4 pm. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Edmund Pickup officiating.
Burial with Military Honors will follow at St. Luke’s Memorial Park, Smithfield, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation or the charity of your choice.
