COURTLAND—A Wednesday four-alarm fire that left a trailer heavily damaged is under investigation, said Courtland Fire Lt. Matt Nixon.
No one was home when the fire broke out at 7:25 a.m. in two bedrooms at separate ends of the trailer on Ivor Road, Nixon said. Both bedrooms had fire damage, and the rest of the home had smoke damage.
He did not want to give out the names of the residents, who also own the trailer. Nixon is not sure if the home was insured.
No one was hurt when some 20 firefighters responded and remained on scene for 3½ hours. Assisting were Sedley, Ivor and Hunterdale volunteer fire departments.
The American Red Cross has been contacted.
