COURTLAND—The new Hardee’s in Courtland will take job applications from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Paul D. Camp Community College Regional Development Workforce Center.

Boddie-Noell Enterprises will build the fast-food restaurant on Highway 58 in front of the Courtland Food Lion, but could not be reached for comment.

The company in January 2011 announced plans to begin construction that March, but the project was delayed to redesign a larger restaurant.

The Hardee’s is expected to create 50 to 60 jobs.

Boddie-Noell owns all of the Hardee’s in Virginia, including the restaurants in Franklin and on Route 58 in Emporia and Suffolk.

Boddie-Noell Enterprises is the largest franchiser of Hardee’s restaurants in the world, owning 340, including 229 in Virginia.
