Chuck Snyder

FRANKLIN—Charles Allen “Chuck” Snyder II, 59, passed away peacefully at his home after a long illness on February 15, 2013.

Born in Vina del Mar, Chile, he was a son of the late Charles Allen and Ann Daly Snyder and was predeceased by a brother, Steven Snyder.

He received his associate’s degree from Dabney Lancaster College and attended Old Dominion University.

He was an Army veteran during the Vietnam era and was retired from Westvaco.

Chuck is a named inventor on two United States patents.

Left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Allison, Emily and Amelia Snyder; six sisters, Pat Adams (Lonnie), Sharon Jillson (Jon), Marianne Turner (Murray), Leslie Pearce (Bryan), Chrissy Joyner (David) and Sara Hasty (Travis); and one brother, Matthew Snyder (Renita); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2013, at Wright Funeral Home with Fr. Charles Saglio officiating. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Lung Association. www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
