MILWAUKEE, N.C.—Kenneth Lewis Smith, 66, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie, N.C.

Born April 30, 1946, to Leora Britton Smith and the late James Graham Smith, he graduated from Northampton County High School and entered the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.

He worked for Union Camp Corporation as plant manager at their Seaboard mill.

He is survived by his wife, Penny; two daughters, Marie Smith and Stephanie Smith Britt and husband, Mike; sisters, Charline Hollingsworth and Beverly Davis; and three grandchildren, Jenna, Alex and Hannah Hasty.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, February 14, at Bridgers Funeral Home in Conway and his funeral service with military honors will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, February 15, at Milwaukee Cemetery with Rev. Suzanne Cobb presiding.
