ELIZABETH CITY, N.C.—Janetta Ruth Messner Hill, 97, formally of the Suffolk, died Feb. 12, 2013, at Carolina House, Elizabeth City, N.C.

Mrs. Hill was a homemaker.

She is survived by a son, Robert Hill of Knoxville; a daughter, Elsie Pinkston of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; and a brother, Frederick Messner of Williamsport, Pa.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, at the Up River Friends Meeting House, Belvidere, N.C. Burial will be in the Up River Friends Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church fellowship hall after the graveside services.
