SUSSEX—The Franklin girls’ basketball team lost 70-33 to Tri-Rivers District foe Sussex on Tuesday.

Dikeya Cox picked up her third double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds for the losing Lady Broncos. Breia Walloe added nine points and 10 rebounds. Aerial Darden went three-for-four from the free-throw line.

The junior varsity Lady Broncos ended their season with a 16-13 victory over Sussex. Breyona Whitehead and Summer Winston scored five points each. Catherine Brown had eight rebounds.

Franklin will host Charles City at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8.
