Where I’m from

I am from peanut, corn, cotton fields.

I am from hot, dusty summer days

with the cool feeling of

Cypress Cove.

I am from Strickland’s

And the taste of Golden-Cheese and SunDrop.

I am from Ti-Ti, Papa,

Granny and Pop.

I am from the royal blue and white of

Raider country.

I am from 7-Eleven

and Slurpees.

I am from Bob White and Covey Circle.

I am from Rescue Heroes, Power Rangers and dinosaurs.

I am from reindeer food and the

sweet sappy smell of Grayson and Emma’s.

I am from the land I call home,

the 757 where I used to roam.
