CARRSVILLE—Thomas Edward “Sonny” Faison, 40, beloved son of R. Thomas Jr. and Jewel King Faison, passed away on January 22, 2013, after a long illness with his family and closest friends at his bedside.
Sonny was born in Franklin on November 1, 1972, and was a 1991 graduate of Windsor High School and a former student of Paul D. Camp Community College.
A longtime employee of Chapman Lumber Co. in Boykins, Sonny attended Bethel Assembly of God.
Besides his parents, left to cherish his memory are his sister, Anissa K. Strickland and her husband, Glenn, and their children, Katelyn and Joel; and his beloved fur-babies, Bear, Missy and Dude.
Sonny was predeceased by his grandparents, Edward G. and Patty King of Franklin and Raymond T. Sr. and Hazel Faison of Emporia.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2013, at Bethel Assembly of God, 8904 S Quay Road, Suffolk, Va., with the Rev. T.R. King and the Rev. David Hicks officiating.
A visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall.
The burial will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Bethlehem UMC Cemetery, Highway 43, Arcola, N.C.
