FRANKLIN—Isle of Wight County Schools has awarded a Franklin company a five-year contract for website design and development, web hosting and support, and Apple iPad app development.

The school district will pay the Insercorp $23,692 over the term of the agreement.

Insercorp Founder and President Tim Bradshaw said the contract is valued at $46,600. The partnership includes Insercorp as a sponsor for the district’s 10 websites to help cut costs — a savings to the district valued at nearly $23,000.

“I am excited to work with Isle of Wight County Schools in strengthening their web-based technology needs,” Bradshaw said. “The school division’s websites are in much need of an improved user interface and better tools for staff to effectively communicate information to the public.”

This agreement marks Insercorp’s first for a public school system.

“We are very excited to work with Insercorp on developing our new division website,” said Kenita Bowers, coordinator for community relations and media affairs for Isle of Wight schools. “They have been a wonderful partner to our school division and we look forward to unveiling a website that reflects the direction we are progressing toward as we prepare our students for educational excellence in the 21st century.”

Isle of Wight County has nine schools serving 5,500 students.
