SUFFOLK—The driver of a vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries after hitting a log truck at 7 p.m. Monday in the 7100 block of South Quay Road, Suffolk police reported.

The vehicle caught fire after the crash, police said. Passersby pulled the driver to safety and used a fire extinguisher to help put out the fire.

The driver, who was not identified, was taken to Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk.
