ISLE OF WIGHT—Windsor High School students on Friday received digital citizenship certification after completing Neustar’s My Digital Life Program powered by EverFi.

The school also won a $1,000 EverFi Technology Grant for having the highest percentage of students certified in fall 2012. Windsor is the only school in Virginia to receive this award.

“This award would not have been possible with out the hard work of my students,” said WHS Technology Teacher Roland Downing. “It is a great award for our school and a wonderful way to honor our student achievement.”

The program educates students to use technology safely and responsibly navigate the digital world.

“It is fantastic that our students are delving further into the realm of digital citizenship and our teachers are finding programs that match the vision we have for our students and their future,” said WHS Principal Daniel Soderholm.
