NORFOLK—Isle of Wight County native Vernal Ford Sr., 73, of Norfolk died Jan. 13, 2013.

A service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at William M. Engram Sr. Memorial Chapel in Franklin.

He is survived by children Vernal Ford Jr. and Samantha Godette, both of Tarrytown, N.Y., and Jeremy Ford of Norfolk; and siblings Redell Ford, Everlena Dolman, Inell Devault and Shirley Ford.
