How’s business: Steady. Even though you see the parking lot is full, come in, we may have open seats. We’re now accepting credit cards.

One thing you wish everyone knew about your business: Although the restaurant is primarily soul food, we can cater any kind of food for any occasion, large or small.

Something you offer that a customer won’t find elsewhere: Excellent customer service and a unique atmosphere that caters to all people, and serving authentic soul food and homemade desserts. There are $5 breakfast and lunch specials on Monday. We deliver to businesses with five or more orders.

Advice to young entrepreneurs: Find out what you are passionate about and pursue that.

Your first job: Shoe shining

Your role model (in business or life generally): My mother, Earva Sumblin, founder and owner of Group Opportunity Travel and pastor of Touch Christian Church.

The key to a successful business is: Put God first in all you do and understand the value of the team approach. When you do something, do it right the first time.
