RICHMOND—Southampton County native Mary Evelyn Crenshaw, 96, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, in Richmond.

A funeral was held Sunday at Shorter Funeral Home with burial in Westview Cemetery in Farmville.

Mrs. Crenshaw was a clerk at the drug store on Main Street in Farmville.

She is survived by her children, Lillian Knight and Eric Crenshaw Jr., both of Richmond; and a brother, Jack Beale of Waverly.
