MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.—Janet Johnson Cannan of Myrtle Beach, S.C., passed away January 3, 2013.
Born September 30, 1925, in Handsom, Va., she was the daughter of the late Emmett R. Johnson and Rushie Ritter Johnson, and was predeceased by her husband, John W. Cannan; her sisters, Carolyn Johnson Sweeney and Mary Nell Johnson Turner; and her brother, Emmett R. Johnson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Julia Ellyn Cannan-Siegle and husband, Frederick W. Siegle, of Doylestown, Pa., and Janice Ann Cannan-Weldon and husband Richard N. Weldon, of Cypress, Texas; her brother-in-law, H. Milton (Minnie) Turner of Courtland, Va.; her sister-in-law, Betty Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla.; her sister-in-law Eileen Cannan, of Victor, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, 11528 Highway 17 Bypass, Murrells Inlet, S.C., with Reverend Dr. J. Lewis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Conway, S.C.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
