WAKEFIELD—Robert Lee “Bobby Lee” Atkins Sr., 81, of Wakefield died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013.

A funeral will be held at noon, Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Wakefield Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Wakefield Cemetery.

A native of Isle of Wight County, Mr. Atkins served in the Army with the Army Corp of Engineers and owned Atkins General Construction.

He is survived by children Robert Atkins Jr., and Ronald, Ricky, Donald and Lori Atkins; and siblings Jack Atkins Jr., John Atkins, Ethel Owen, Alice Faye Lowe and Rebecca Maifeld.
