COURTLAND—Two women were treated and released from Southampton Memorial Hospital after the vehicles they were driving collided at 11:30 a.m. Saturday outside Courtland.

Jeanie Lutz, 26, of Courtland was attempting to turn onto Old Bridge Road from 58 West and drove into the path of Jocelin Spruill, 47, of Raleigh, N.C., according to the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office. Spruill was eastbound on Route 58.

Lutz was cited with failing to yield to the right of way.
