BRANCHVILLE—A Courtland man is believed to have suffered a massive heart attack before the car he was driving hit a tree at 10 p.m. Tuesday in Southampton County, Virginia State Police said.

Grafton T. Boon, 65, of he 21400 block of High Street died on the way to the hospital after the crash on Whitehead Road near Branchville.
