COMO, N.C.—Carlton Bruce “Sonny” Young Jr., 74, died Dec. 29, 2012, in his home with his family by his side.

He was a retired boilermaker.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Margie Hassell Young, one daughter, Cindy Gore, and her husband, Harold, and one son, Carlton Bruce Young III, all of Como.

A private family celebration of Mr. Young’s life will be at the residence at a later date. Please omit flowers.
