SEDLEY—Willie “Big Willie” Cannon of Sedley, 80, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012.

A funeral will be held noon Thursday, Dec. 20, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Wakefield. Burial will follow at Greene Family Cemetery in Sedley.

A trucker for 63 years, Mr. Cannon owned W.J. Cannon Hauling

He is survived by his wife, Bernice; children Samuel Griffin of Franklin, Willie Cannon Jr. of Woodbridge, Rosemary Murphy of Portsmouth, Cathy Smith and Annie Williams, both of Courtland, Dwight Cannon of Stafford, Loleatha Neelos of Sedley and Alvin Cannon of Dale City; and sisters Leslie Williams and Minnie Lee Blount.
