FRANKLIN—A Sedley man injured in a Thursday evening crash outside Franklin died on Sunday morning at VCU Medical Center in Richmond.

Lloyd Oldham, 78, was hurt after he drove his pickup from Delaware Road onto Camp Parkway into the path of a sport utility vehicle driven by Angela Lawhorne, 34, of Boykins, Virginia State Police reported. The crash occurred near Riverdale Elementary School in Southampton County.

Lawhorne was treated and released from Southampton Memorial Hospital. A 6-year-old passenger in her vehicle also was hurt. Police did not release the juvenile’s name; without a name, the juvenile’s condition could not be checked on with the hospital.
