Windsor boys win in overtime

SUFFOLK—The Windsor boys’ basketball team defeated host Nansemond-Suffolk Academy 52-44 in overtime Tuesday.

The Dukes outscored the Saints 11-3 in the extra period of the non-conference game.

Leading for the winners were Justice Chapman with 19 points. Donovan Cosbert had 11 assists. Austin McCaskey, Romello McKiver and Malcolm Greene each had 8 rebounds for the Dukes.

In action from Friday, Windsor lost 48-30 to visiting Southampton High School.

“The boys played hard and were winning at halftime 16-15, but we made some crucial turnovers that led Southampton to take a lead and not look back,” said Windsor Coach Brandon Bossick.

Windsor at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, will host Rappahannock.
