Tammy Warren

Tammy Warren, 48, of St. Luke’s Road, Sedley, Va., departed this life on December 1, 2012, while a patient in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

The Southampton County native was born on May 6, 1964, to Mary S. Warren and the late Alfred C. Warren.

Tammy was a member of Tabernacle of Praise Full Gospel Baptist Church where she served as financial secretary for 17 years.

She graduated from the Southampton County Public Schools and Paul D. Camp Community College earning an associate’s degree in early Childhood Education. Tammy furthered her education at Virginia State University and most recently, Norfolk State University.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Warren; two sisters, Cynthia Warren of Sedley, Va., and Cathy Hines of Ivor, Va.; one brother, Charles J. Warren (Ruth) of Sedley, Va.; and aunts, three nephews, one niece, great nieces, and nephews and cousins.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2012, at Tabernacle of Praise Full Gospel Baptist Church, 5283 Windsor Blvd., Zuni, Va., with the pastor, Bishop Nathaniel Gomillion delivering the message of comfort.

On the day of service, her remains will be placed in church for viewing by 11:30 a.m.
